Ready to Serve Mountain Brook

Mountain Brook is a special place — and I want to help keep it that way. I’m Joe Sandner IV, a lifelong resident, father, business leader, and someone who believes in giving back.

I’m running for City Council, Place 4, to help protect what makes this community great — and make sure we’re thinking ahead for the next generation.

My Plan for the City

Preserve Our Quality of Life

The support of our schools to remain the top priority….always and forever!

Ensure that our Police and Fire departments have the resources and training they need to keep Mountain Brook safe

Continue to invest in recreational areas, walkability infrastructure and athletic facilities

Expand Our Revenue Base

Promote smart development at Brookwood Village, Office Park and other commercial nodes

Advocate for a fairer Simplified Seller’s Use Tax that would benefit Mountain Brook

Support the Chamber of Commerce
and its programs that increase sales for our local businesses

Maintain Our Long-Term Financial Stability

Ensure that our limited resources are used efficiently and effectively

Address the unfunded pension liability in order for our balance sheet to remain strong

Utilize debt/reserves strategically when unique opportunities arise to improve the community and/or promote smart growth
